Filters

Filters can be set directly in the dashboards. Depending on the dashboard, there are different filter options. Filters can be set by a timeline, drop down (single selection) or multiple selection, among others. If an arrow is displayed for multiple selection, fields can be expanded and filters can be set more finely granular. A search function is also provided here.

In addition to this, there is the filter function on the right. Here, all filters that have already been set are displayed and additional filters can be set. If no filters are set, "There are no filters available for display" appears.

Settings

By clicking with the mouse in the upper right corner of a visualization, the setting options appear. The buttons displayed depend on the type of visualization. These can be:

  • Drillmode

  • Filter

  • Focus mode

  • More options (context menu)

Drillmode

Drill mode is used to examine data in detail. If the data has a hierarchy, the drill mode can be executed to show more details. This makes it possible to analyze data in even more detail. Example:

  • For which test object(type) and checklist the most negative checks are executed.

Drillup

The drillup leads to a higher hierarchy level (e.g. from test object to test object type).

Drilldown

Drilldown leads to a lower hierarchy level (for example, from test object to checklist).

Drilldown for all fields simultaneously

The double arrow leads to the next hierarchy level of all displayed data. This step can be executed several times down to the lowest hierarchy level. The results are added up and displayed in summary.

Expand all fields at once

This expands the view to the next level and adds an additional hierarchy level. This adds new information to the existing information.

Filters

All active filters are displayed. If no filters are set, "No filters are currently applied" appears.

Focus mode

Clicking on the focus mode highlights the visualization and displays it alone. With "Back to report" the previous view appears.

Further options

Furthermore, a wide range of additional options is possible. All data visualized in the dashboards can be exported, tabulated, highlighted and sorted. To do this, move the mouse over the desired data base (table or visualization) and click on the context menu (the three dots). Depending on the dashboard, different options will be displayed:

Export data (Excel)

  • as XLSX or CSV in current layout or summarized

Show as a table

  • Shows the data in tabular form

Spotlight

  • Spotlights the visualization

Sort descending

  • Sort the data in descending order

Sort ascending

  • Sort the data in ascendingorder

Sort by

  • Sort the data by various options such as by URL*, checklist, issue, status, scheduled for, assigned to, test object(type), etc.

  • * The URL is listed on the left and leads to the referenced source. For example, a link to the left of the checklist leads to the corresponding checklist or, if it is next to a test object, to it. Several URLs can be stored per table.

Sort Axis

  • Sort by various options as well as descending and ascending.

Shareable link

The "Share link" button (top left) creates a shareable link within the analyses that includes all previously set filters. This link can be shared as desired within the organization. To view the shared analyses, the corresponding permissions (roles) are required.

In addition to this, external tools can link to an embedded reporting in Testify and set filters for this report. For this purpose, setting filters directly via the URL is supported. In this case, a third-party system provides the desired filters (for example, test objects) decoded in the URL, which are appended to the current Testify reporting URL at the end.

In this variant, the filters are displayed exclusively on the right side under "Filter". With the arrow the set filters can be displayed and adapted if necessary.
