External device (External sensor data)

External sensors can be integrated into Testify in order to automatically store the data in Testify and use it to fill checklists. The prerequisite for this is that the sensor data is made available online via an API. Please consult the manufacturer for this. The following information is provided by the manufacturer and must be specified in Testify:

  1. Endpoint url

  2. Check type (e.g. Numeric)

  3. HTTP Method (Mostly GET)

  4. JSON Path

  5. Header (individual by vendor)

    1. Key (e.g. Client ID, Sensor ID or User Name)

    2. Value

  6. Configuration Test

Detailed technical instructions can be found in the API documentation at External Data. For more information, key users can contact the Solution Team.
