Bulk Assignment

The "Multiple assignment" feature can be called up via the "Bulk Actions" tab and makes it possible to instantiate several checklists at the same time. Different test objects, checklists, users/groups and different due dates can be selected. This allows a process chain to be mapped and various checklists to be assigned within a very short time.

The following steps are necessary:

  1. Select test object

    1. Select the relevant test objects individually: Manually select one or more test objects

    2. Define the relevant test objects by a filter: All test objects that match the selected filters are taken into account (filters by test object types, subcomponents and user-defined fields possible)

  2. Select checklist template

    1. Define the checklist template for a selection of test objects: Selection of one or more checklist templates (individually or via tag)

    2. Define for what test objects the checklist template should be used

      1. All test objects: All selected checklists are assigned to all selected test objects

      2. Selection of test objects: Precise definition of which checklist is to be assigned to which test object (selection or all)

  3. Select user/group

    1. Define the users that will be assigned to the checklist instances: Select one or more users and/or groups

    2. Assign a checklist to each user of the groups: If this toggle is activated, the checklists are not assigned to the selected group, but to all group members

    3. Define which checklist instances will be assigned to the user: Precise definition of which checklist is to be assigned to which user or group (selection or all)

  4. Select due date

    1. One due date for all checklist distances

    2. Different due dates: Selection & definition of different dates per checklist instance

The previous step appears using the "Back" button. Clicking "Next" takes you to the next step. The settings already made are displayed in the overview below.

As soon as all the necessary information has been selected, the checklists can be instantiated using the "Assign" button. To be on the safe side, you will be asked once again whether you are sure that the assignment should be started. The message "Assignment started successfully" then appears. Once all checklists have been successfully assigned, a notification is sent, depending on the notification settings.
