Login to Testify

Step 1: Sign in

Open Testify with own Testify user (with company email address)

The task overview is displayed.

Step 2: Sign out

There are two options for Sign out. Try both options as follows:

Sign out Regularly

  • Click on the arrow next to the Username in the upper right corner.

  • Select Sign out from the drop-down menu.

Sign out and reset cache

  • Click on the arrow next to the Username in the upper right corner.

  • Select More in the Sign out drop-down menu.

  • Click the context menu at Sign out on the right.

  • Sign out and reset cache

Step 3: Sign in again

Open Testify with own Testify user (with company email address)

The task overview is displayed.

Practice: Testify

Open Testify with own Testify user (with company email address)

Open Administration - Role management.

Question and thoughts

Are standard roles sufficient?

  • If yes: Continue with standard roles

  • If no: Create additional roles

Groups

Open Testify with own Testify user (with company email address)

Under Administration - Groups create a new group with the following parameters:

  • Title: [firstname] [department] (e.g. Production)

  • Description: [Field of Activity] (e.g. Manufacturing Plant 1)

  • Test object type limitations: None

  • Group members: None

  • Save

User

Practice: Testify

Step 1: Create users for Key-User

Open Testify with own Testify user (with company email address)

Under Administration - Users create a user for yourself as Key-User with the following parameters:

  • Username: [firstname].admin@training.demo

  • Password

  • First name: [firstname]

  • Last name: Admin

  • Language: English

  • Role: Testify Administrator

  • Groups: none

  • Save

  • Logout

Step 2: Create additional training users

Start Testify with the following user: Key-User [firstname].admin@training.demo

Under Administration - Users create three additional users with the following parameters:

Quality Manager

  • Username: [firstname].qualitaetsmanager@training.demo

  • Password

  • First name: [firstname]

  • Last name: Quality Manager

  • Language: English

  • Role: Quality Manager

  • Groups: none

Quality Engineer

  • Username: [firstname].tester@training.demo

  • Password

  • First name: [firstname]

  • Last name: Quality Engineer

  • Language: English

  • Role: Quality Engineer

  • Groups: none

Issue Engineer

  • Username: [firstname].mangelbearbeiter@training.demo

  • Password

  • First name: [firstname]

  • Last name: Issue Engineer

  • Language: English

  • Role: Issue Engineer

  • Groups: [firstname] [department]

Company settings

Start Testify with the following user: Key-User [firstname].admin@training.demo

Under Administration open Company settings.

Adjust contact information and company logo and make other settings as needed.

  • No labels
