Add issues (Training)

A new issue can be added under "Add issue".

First, the test object must be selected. The test object describes the object for which the checklist is to be executed. This is possible manually via data code scan (bar/QR/datamatrix) or NFC.

The prerequisite for the NFC functionality is an NFC reader.

By clicking the hierarchy button on the right, it is possible to navigate through the test object hierarchy when running a checklist. This is particularly useful if a complex test object hierarchy exists in the Testify environment.

If a test object has a parts list, an affected part can be selected when creating the issue.

Additional properties can then be defined to describe and categorize the issues:

  • Assigned to

  • Scheduled for

  • Time

  • Title

  • Description

  • Category

  • Severity

  • Taking and editing photos

  • Custom fields

    • For adding additional information such as serial numbers.

The issue overview appears after saving. All important information about the issue is displayed here.

The background color changes depending on the status of the issue. Open issues are highlighted in orange, overdue issues in red and completed issues in green.

All information about the issue can be found under "Details".

Added photos can be seen under "Photos":

“Timeline" to see what has been done so far:

By clicking on the desired protocol, a PDF protocol can be created. A message is sent via the notifications as soon as the PDF has been created. Meanwhile, it is possible to continue working in Testify. By refreshing the page, the PDF is ready and can be downloaded:

The context menu of the issue offers the following options depending on the current status of the issue and on the user's permissions (roles):

  • Assign

  • Resolve

  • Reopen

  • Edit issue

  • Remove

  • Subscribe

Issues can also be subsequently assigned to other users or groups. This is possible via "Assign".

An issue can be corrected directly in the overview or via the issue search. It is mandatory to enter the solution to the issue. The duration of the repair can be entered as optional additional information.

In addition, a photo can be added, which can be edited by clicking on the color roller.

If the issue has been corrected, the background color changes from orange or red to green. In this issue overview all entered information is visible.

The issue can be reopened via the context menu. A comment is to be left here.

Via "Edit issue" the issue can be edited and adjusted afterwards.

Issues can be removed using "Remove". To avoid data loss, this can still be seen subsequently via the issue search in the "Past" tab.

The reason must be entered as a comment.

Subscribe" can be used to set notifications for issues created by another user. Unsubscribe" disables them.

Issues that have already been created can be displayed via the "Issue search".

The issue search offers the possibility to search the Testify environment for all existing issues, regardless of status. The issues are listed chronologically.

Only those issues are displayed for which the user has the appropriate authorization.

A search for specific issues is possible using the search button. It is also possible to apply certain filters to the listed issues. An export of the issues (with or without filters) as an Excel file is possible via the context menu in the upper right corner.

The following is possible via the context menu:

  • Assign

  • Fix

  • Edit

  • Remove

  • Take offline
