Equipment types and equipment are used to document the tools used when carrying out checks in order to identify the possibly faulty tools used in case of issues. The type of measuring instrument determines a certain group of measuring instruments that are systematically connected. Any number of measuring tool can be added to each equipment type (hierarchy comparable to test object types).
